NY Detective Arrested on Teen Prostitution Charge

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Authorities have accused an off-duty NYPD detective of being a pimp for a teenage prostitute.
Wayne Taylor has been arrested on charges including promoting prostitution, endangering the welfare of a child, kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment. The 35-year-old was awaiting arraignment on Wednesday in Queens; prosecutors did not have the name of his attorney.
Investigators allege that the detective was involved in a scheme in which nightclub patrons paid to have sex with the girl, who was described as a runaway.
Taylor has been suspended from his assignment at the Police Department's housing bureau of the Bronx and Queens.
