PARKING PASS FOR PAUL'S GAL
By JEANE MacINTOSH
METER BEATER: The MTA bigwig and Paul McCartney girlfriend has a parking pass, but it's only for official business.
April 8, 2008 -- Baby, she can drive her car - and park it anywhere she likes, too.
Paul McCartney gal pal and Manhattan MTA honcho Nancy Shevell has a pass that lets her flout city parking rules, The Post has learned.
Shevell, the raven-haired MTA board member who has been dating Sir Paul for months, slid her shiny, black SUV into a commercial loading zone on a recent afternoon.
She then brashly headed off to a Manhattan salon, without the slightest fear of reprisal from a meter maid, photos taken at the scene show.
That's because Shevell has a special MTA police placard plastered to her dashboard that allows her - and the rest of the agency's board members - to park their vehicles in no-parking, loading, and metered zones.
An MTA spokesman said agency rules stipulate the pass can be used only for "official MTA business."
He declined to say whether Shevell's parlor pit stop qualified.
Shevell, who has a big oversight role in the city's multi-billion dollar Second Avenue subway project, did not return calls for comment.
The 47-year-old businesswoman hit the salon late last week, just days after returning from a Caribbean getaway with Sir Paul.
Shevell, a friend of McCartney's beloved first wife, Linda, also spent time with the former Beatle in New York last week before he jetted back to London.
Unlike Mills, who has been roundly slammed as having married McCartney for his money, Shevell has plenty of her own dough.
As vice president of her family's Elizabeth, NJ-based New England Motor Freight, she is reportedly worth millions.

Mills, meanwhile, is apparently not happy about Shevell's blossoming romance with McCartney.
British papers report that Mills and Sir Paul recently had a "blazing row" over whether their young daughter, Beatrice, should be introduced to Shevell.
