FED CAR EXPRESSED

Billionaire Bloombito does not take defeat kindly. Last week, his Congestion Pricing bill died in surgery. But in his crusade against cars in Manhattan, he has quietly issued a ticket blitz on cars with city issued plaques. This includes city employees such as NYPD, FDNY as well as Federal employees. However, there is a fight brewing in Gotham. A fight of Fed vs State. The following post was written in an NYPD forum:

If the feds don't get enough city permits for their agents, there is talk of making their own federal law enforcement placards. If the city doesn't honor those placards and they are tagged with summonses, the U.S. Attorney's Office will have the summonses removed from city court, transferred to federal court and then dismissed. It'll be a major pain, but federal law enforcement agents have just as much right to park their official vehicles as do municipal police agencies (or the mayor's own staff).
