PALIN DAUGHTER'S VIRTUAL PREGNANCY

http://www.ireport.com/ by Paul Tosone

MAJOR UPDATE:

Sarah Palin has announced that her daughter is currently 5 months pregnant and plans to marry the father. Now, this could mean that Bristol is not Trig Palin's father. It could also mean that she is (pregnant twice? Unlikely, but possible). It could also mean that Bristol is not pregnant, and will have a 'miscarriage' soon, which will be an attempt to debunk the Trig Palin story by saying "she was pregnant when Trig was born" Who knows.

This election is too absurd for words. News agencies should stop trying to report on it and just start writing fiction, it couldn't possibly be more ridiculous than the reality.

The nation has been abuzz today with talk of Sarah Palin, John McCain's surprise vice-presidential pick. The internet and news media exploded in the hours following the announcement. Along with all the stories making their way through the news cycle is one regarding Trig Palin, her youngest child.

Apparently, there has been suspicion, some reported through Alaskan media outlets even before the Vice Presidential buzz, that the child actually belongs to her daughter, Bristol Palin. Normally this would be a personal issue, but this becomes a public matter because of Sarah Palin's stance against abortion and birth control, promoting 'abstinence only' beliefs.

Abstinence-only educators

Both Sarah Palin and John McCain back abstinence-only education. No surprises there.
What's galling is this: When the subject is a pregnancy to an unwed, minority teenage mother growing up in some (presumably Democratic) urban area, that pregnancy becomes fodder for lectures from conservatives about bad parenting, the perils of welfare spending and so on.

But when the subject is a pregnancy to an unwed, white teenager from some small town in a Republican state, that pregnancy is...a celebration of the wonders of God's magnificence--and choosing life!
