Looks like NYPD point man, Paul Browne would like to do away with Press Pass credentials. The press pass has been a coveted tool for covering stories in New York City. It allows a journalist access to events that the general public is excluded from. Now if Mr. Browne has his way, then one would surmise that "news" coverage would be reduced to a single voice. That of the governing agency. This has been quite effective in China, Russia and other dictatorships.
